The Route of Alkylation of 5-Substituted 1,3,4-Thiadiazoline-2-thiones

The reaction of 5-anilino(toluidino-, morpholino)-1,3,4-thiadiazoline-2-thiones at 80°C with allyl bromide and benzyl chloride in alcohol, acetonitrile or DMF in the presence of KOH and also with phenoxymethyloxirane in alcohol in the absence of base gives the corresponding novel allyl-, benzyl-, and 2-hydroxy-3-phenoxypropyl products substituted at the exocyclic S atom. Alkylation of the indicated thiones with benzyl chloride at 150-153°C in DMF in the presence of KOH occurs similarly. Under these conditions, allyl bromide forms alkylation products at the endocyclic N(3) atom as a result of an SN thio-Claisen rearrangement of the initially formed product which is allyl substituted at the exocyclic S atom.     

Integration of the matrix KdV equation with self-consistent source

In this work, it is shown that the solutions of the matrix KdV equation with self-consistent source can be found by the inverse scattering transform for the matrix Sturm–Liouville operator.     

Integrating the Korteweg–de Vries Equation with a Self-Consistent Source and “Steplike” Initial Data

It is shown that steplike solutions of the Korteweg–de Vries equation with a self-consistent source can be found by the inverse scattering method for the Sturm–Liouville operator on the entire real line.     

On analytic multifunctions

For any multifunction S ? D _z × ? _w , we give a criterion for analyticity (pseudoconcavity) in terms of plurisubharmonicity of the function V(z, w) = ?lnρ(w, S _z ), where ρ(w, S _a ) stands for the distance from the point w to the set S _a = S ∩ {z = a}.     

Benzazoles. 4. Synthesis and chemical reactions of 6-chlorosulfonylbenzoxazolin-2-ones

The corresponding 6-chlorosulfonyl derivatives were synthesized from benzoxazolin-2-one and its 3-methyl derivative by treatment with chlorosulfonic acid. By treatment of the compounds obtained with water and other nucleophilic reagents (aliphatic and heterocyclic amines) 2-oxobenzoxazoline-6-sulfonic acids and a series of their amides were obtained, while reduction with SnCl₂·2H₂O gave 6-mercaptobenzoxazolin-2-ones.     

Solubility Polytherm of the Ternary System Hexamethylenetetramine-Ammonium Dihydrogen Phosphate-Water

The solubility polytherm of the ternary system hexamethylenetetramineammonium dihydrogen phosphate-water was studied in a wide temperature range. The concentration and temperature ranges of crystallization of the starting components and a new compound, NH₄H₂PO₄·2(CH₂)₆N₄·8H₂O, were determined. The properties and structure of the new compound were studied by X-ray phase, thermal, and IR spectroscopic analyses.     

Continuation of separately analytic functions defined on part of the domain boundary

G be a nonpluripolar compact set in a strongly pseudoconvex domain D ? ? ^m . We prove that, under an additional condition, each function separately analytic on the set X = (D × F) ∪ (E × G) has a holomorphic contination to the domain $\rlap{--} X = \{ (z,w) \in D \times G:\omega _{in}^ * (z,E,D) + \omega ^ * (w,F,D) < 1\} $ , where ω* is the P-measure and ω*_in is the interior P-measure.
